ECOT HOLDS COLLEGE COMMUNITY MEETING
The Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) community yesterday, Wednesday, 19 August 2026, convened a College Community Meeting at the Building and Civil Engineering Lecture Theatre. The meeting commenced at 08:00 hrs with an opening prayer led by Pastor Magagula.The highlight of the programme was the Student Address by the Principal, Dr. S. C. Kunene, who proudly donned a new ECOT bumper jacket - the first ever College regalia in the history of the institution. In his address, the principal introduced the Dean of Students Affairs Committee, which has been mandated to look into the welfare and wellbeing of students. He further introduced an officer designated to attend to staff wellness issues.The meeting concluded with a brief session for the Academic Staff by the Principal.We thank the entire ECOT community for their punctual attendance and active participation.

UPSKILLING CERTIFICATION EVENT
UPSKILLING CERTIFICATION AND SKILLS SHOWCASE EVENT A SUCCESS!The Ministry of Education and Training, in partnership with Taiwan ICDF and the Ministry of Labour & Social Security, successfully hosted the Upskilling Certification and Skills Showcase Event on Friday, 7th August 2026 at Prince of Wales, Mbabane.The event celebrated graduates from Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) and Gwamile Vocational and Commercial Training Institute (VOCTIM) who successfully completed the Upskilling Programme. The Upskilling Programme runs for 3 months, with classes held on Saturdays only, making it accessible for working individuals and youth seeking to enhance their employability. Skills acquired include Cooking, Cyber Security Awareness, Microsoft Office, Industrial Wiring and Auto Electrical, among others.The ceremony featured official remarks from the Principal Secretaries of Education & Training and Labour & Social Security, the CEO of the Municipal Council of Mbabane, H.E. The Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Honourable Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, and the Honourable Minister of Education and Training.Highlights included a vibrant performance by the Endzingeni Inkhundla Cultural Group, graduate presentations, the official presentation of certificates, and a guided tour of the Skills Showcase and Exhibitions. We congratulate all graduates from ECOT and VOCTIM and thank all distinguished guests, partners, and the organising committee for making the day a success.
