UPSKILLING CERTIFICATION AND SKILLS SHOWCASE EVENT A SUCCESS!

The Ministry of Education and Training, in partnership with Taiwan ICDF and the Ministry of Labour & Social Security, successfully hosted the Upskilling Certification and Skills Showcase Event on Friday, 7th August 2026 at Prince of Wales, Mbabane.
The event celebrated graduates from Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) and Gwamile Vocational and Commercial Training Institute (VOCTIM) who successfully completed the Upskilling Programme. The Upskilling Programme runs for 3 months, with classes held on Saturdays only, making it accessible for working individuals and youth seeking to enhance their employability. Skills acquired include Cooking, Cyber Security Awareness, Microsoft Office, Industrial Wiring and Auto Electrical, among others.
The ceremony featured official remarks from the Principal Secretaries of Education & Training and Labour & Social Security, the CEO of the Municipal Council of Mbabane, H.E. The Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Honourable Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, and the Honourable Minister of Education and Training.
Highlights included a vibrant performance by the Endzingeni Inkhundla Cultural Group, graduate presentations, the official presentation of certificates, and a guided tour of the Skills Showcase and Exhibitions. We congratulate all graduates from ECOT and VOCTIM and thank all distinguished guests, partners, and the organising committee for making the day a success.
