How We Began
Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) was established in 1946 as a Trade School with two instructors offering carpentry and building to 24 male students. What began as a small trade programme has grown into a multi-faculty college serving students across the country.
Milestones
Established as a Trade School offering carpentry and building.
Renamed Swaziland Industrial Training Institute, introducing craft courses.
Renamed Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT).
Introduction of Diploma programmes and a faculty structure.
First Diploma Graduation Ceremony held.
First BTech Graduation Ceremony held.
Renamed Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT) — the name it carries today.
